Addendum to 30 June 2025: Weltreisebär turns 9

Weltreisebär is celebrating his 9th birthday in Kenya.
9 years ago, on 30.6.2016, he was with me (I was 15 at the time) in his first new country, Slovenia.
Since then, an average of 11.6 new countries have been added each year. That's almost one new country a month (!)

Last year there were 11 more, which is a slight drop but still going strong.
The bear has now travelled with 32 friends.

Here's a quick bit of statistics:

Year 1: 13 countries (2016/17)
Year 2: 17 countries (2017/18)
Year 3: 15 countries (2018/19)
Year 4: 20 countries (2019/20)
Year 5: 2 countries (2020/21 - Covid)
Year 6: 6 countries (2021/22)
Year 7: 7+2 countries (2022/23)
Year 8: 12 countries (2023/24)
Year 9: 11 countries (2024/25)

Now there are only 9 months left until Weltreisebär turns 10. Let's see how many more countries get added before then!
