With the Mosers on the 2nd Caribbean trip (16-24 February 2025)

This is the anniversary trip to countries 100 and 101. (Head over to the anniversary blog entry here (link included).

With the Moser family from Augustusburg, made up of Matthias, Claudia, Valentin and Ferdinand, February saw us head off to two new, unassuming countries in the Caribbean. I first met the four of them back in 2021 on the flight to Iceland, and since 2022 they've been absolute regulars with Weltreisebär! (Currently at 6+2 countries).

It all began on 16 February with a flight to the Dominican Republic. There's no photo from here, as Anna-Sophia had already been (country no. 81).

A number of other overseas territories were also on the itinerary. For instance, on 18 February, Philipsburg on St Maarten (Netherlands) – famous for its airport right next to the beach.

Then, on 19 February, the big moment finally arrived: the ship reached Dominica, Weltreisebär's 100th country.

There was a hike into the jungle to the largest hot lake in the world. Unfortunately, it soon started raining, so Claudia and Valentin turned back, while the trail itself pretty much turned into a stream:

Guadeloupe (France) (20 February) also brought a jungle excursion.

But the real highlight of the trip was the day in Antigua and Barbuda (21 February). In country no. 101, the bear got to relax on the beach and swim with stingrays, after Matthias (on the left in the first photo) safely got him through immigration:

To round off the trip, the ship docked on the British Virgin Island of Tortola (22 February).

Just to be on the safe side, the Mosers took photos at every single stop, as it's quite possible that even more small Caribbean island states could become independent in the future.
