Anniversary Entry for the 100th Country on 19.2.2025

8 years and 234 days

On 19 February 2025, the bear steps ashore in Dominica from a cruise ship with the Moser family from Augustusburg. The moment has finally arrived. You can read more about this trip here.

Dear friends, dear family,

you are simply amazing! Weltreisebär isn't even 8 years and 8 months old yet, and finally the day has come: he's been to 100 countries! To be precise, it took exactly 8 years and 234 days.

I'll be completely honest: when I brought Weltreisebär to life as a 15-year-old, I never imagined it would happen this fast. The bear has already been lucky enough to travel with 33 companions, and I've met many wonderful people lately who might well join that number in the future.

All in all, Weltreisebär has given me (thanks to all of you!) so many fantastic moments over the last decade, and I simply want to say a heartfelt thank you for that!

For this anniversary, I have a question for all readers: I'd like to fit Weltreisebär with a tracker or something similar for the remaining 98 countries, so he can never get lost. Does anyone have tips or advice on how something like that works? Feel free to write to me!

There you can now check at any time which countries the bear has already visited…. and which ones are “still” missing.
