Three new countries with Benedikt

In September, we headed to the autonomous region of Kurdistan in Iraq. Country No. 93 was the first with Benedikt (Instagram: @benedikt2705) from Karlsruhe, whom I particularly value for his honesty and precision! With him, we went to Kurdistan, to Iraq's second-largest city (1.8 million inhabitants). Pictured is the Citadel of Erbil, the centre of the circularly laid-out city.

Next up was Armenia. Here you can see Republic Square with the Clock Bell Tower.

And finally, we headed to Georgia, where we also did a bit of train travel. With three countries, Benedikt even jumps straight to 3rd place among the most successful fellow travellers. Thank you! By the way, Tbilisi, the capital, is only about 200km away from Yerevan (Armenia) as the crow flies, but due to the Caucasus mountains, the journey takes several hours – which is why there's even a flight connection (about 30 minutes).
