The Weltreisebär Summer

In the summer of 2023, the bear headed off on three big trips all at once, each time with new travel companions:

1. Dominican Republic: With Anna-Sophia from Thuringia, Weltreisebär travels to America, or more precisely, to the island of Hispaniola, whose eastern half is formed by the Dominican Republic. In its capital, Santo Domingo (Holy Sunday), stands the statue of the discoverer of America - Christopher Columbus. The continent, however, was named after a different seafarer - Amerigo Vespucci. This trip was also made possible by a lovely coincidence - if Anna and Austin hadn't picked me up hitchhiking in Iceland two years ago, the bear probably wouldn't be in the Caribbean now. 2. Japan: Weltreisebär sends greetings from the Land of the Rising Sun! With my former flatmate Maurice, it was off to Japan for 3 weeks. As a weather phenomenon, there's also the so-called typhoon over there. Maurice even speaks Japanese himself - huge respect, especially since I only speak European languages myself. Congratulations, by the way, on coming 26th at the Pokémon World Championships!
