Bahrain with Florian

Quite spontaneously and at short notice, Florian told me at New Year's Eve that he'd be going on a cruise in the Persian Gulf at the end of January, stopping in Dubai among other places. "Can I take the Weltreisebär along?" he asked. "Well, he's already been to the UAE. But what else is on the itinerary?" I asked. "Manama, Bahrain." When are you travelling? 22.1.-1.2. – that works! I said. And so the next country photo was taken in front of the stock exchange in Manama, in the small Kingdom of Bahrain.

Here are a few more pictures from Manama, a city that, according to Florian, isn't exactly worth writing home about.

Florian would have been absolutely thrilled if this had been country number 100, and I'm really sorry that we're not quite there yet. But thank you so much all the same, because Bahrain is definitely not your average holiday destination! Who knows, maybe the bear will travel with you again one day. Then the number will definitely be three digits!
